The inspiration for the Corylabootscame from the military boots worn by US soldiers.
We don’t make our shoes using modern mass-production methods, but rather the traditional construction methods used for the U.S. military in the 1900s, using the Goodyear Weltand Hand-Sewn Welt techniques, which are slow but sturdy, and allow us to create boots that are highly customizable to the tastes of the orderer and the wearer.
The brand name “Korilla” has a special meaning: If you read it backwards, it becomes “alli r.o.k,” which is a combination of “alli” (over there)and “R.O.K” (Republic of Korea, Republic of Korea).
True to our name, we want to create a culture of unique boots and shoemaking with different stories in Korea, a country that leads the world in culture and content.
